My hero , my ideal.

He was the man who took yoga to the west.yes, he is  the bridge between the east and the west . Subash chandra bose at  the age of 15 devoured  into the writings of Swami Vivekanandha.  He even ran away to become a monk. But the swamiji of the ashram said that his destiny was different.  Gandhiji , nehruji, all of them were inspired by swami's writings. Sister niveditha was starting schools , inspired by his teaching .He met jamshedji Tata on the ship during one of his journeys and they spoke about the future of science and technology in India . The seed for IISc was sown during that conversation. Swami had motivated Jagdish Chandra bose  to start the Bose institute, which is the earliest  research  institute of india .

Swami said " like how The Buddha had a message for the east, I have a message for the west " . Everybody knows how history was created in his speech at Chicago. His conviction and clarity about Hinduism reached the world and today many  westerners  call themselves " spiritual , not religious " thanks to the teachings of swami Vivekanandha. 
" ln every experience if you see GOD  you are enlightened " says swami vivekanandha. Spirituality Simplified , for layman and the seeker. That's Swami Vivekanandha.

  For me, writing is healing. I now embark on this journey of penning down a recent incident in my life that is a life lesson for me in many ways. My intention to publish it in my blog is that it could help someone in need. My fiftieth birthday brought me many pleasant unforgettable surprises from my family,friends and colleagues. Can't be more grateful. On March 11, 2022, an unpleasant surprise came with a slip and fall. With a "pop" in my knee I fell down. An MRI revealed that ACL ( anterior cruciate ligament) of my  left knee was completely torn ( along with meniscus tear etc). Instinctively I reached for my mobile to ask Google guru. Faith energises .. faith heals

  Faith energises.... faith heals.... My memory goes back 10 years ago when we had shifted to our newly built home in the outskirts of thindal, Erode. Surrounded by lush green paddy fields , the first few years was a " kerala" experience! Close to our home, the  " karuparayan and kannimaar" temple particularly intrigued me . The huge tamarind trees and neem tree would easily be over 100 years old and I have enjoyed the bird chatter standing outside the locked gate. I would ask the passersby " WHY" it is kept locked . And each had a story to share ! Finally after 33 years , the " kumbabisegam " was held today.  The insensitive blasting of loud music and the bursting of crackers ( my heart was bleeding for all those birds whose home this tree has been, for many years ) infuriated me and my rational mind fired up to" question" this faith . But then, I pacified myself telling " thank God, the traditional faith " is still there ...

The Mother relocates ...

A phone call from Mr SK Rajeshwaran, my husband‘s cousin brother , was a dream come true for me ..... For almost 2 years I have envisioned having a banyan tree at our school premises....Excited at the offer, I went with my son to his factory premises on 4th July to see the banyan tree.He said he was clearing up the space for some other purpose and the tree was standing as an impediment. The sheer size and magnitude perplexed me and I was not prepared mentally and emotionally to uproot such a huge tree ..... I walked around her looking up at her towering branches and threw many questions to the universe.”Are you okay to uproot yourself ?will you survive the torturous process ?...” As an answer, to our surprise, a few drops of rain fell on us and I said to myself , “ if the rain stops then it is a message for me “ and the rain stopped and I got my answer .....I felt the mother has taken her decision.....
